Endodontist Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a endodontist in Texas?
You must hold an active dental license issued by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners and complete an accredited two-year endodontic specialty residency after earning your dental degree. The Texas State Board of Dental Examiners governs specialty recognition, and practicing as an endodontist without the underlying dental license is not permitted. Most Texas employers also expect candidates to pass the American Board of Endodontics written and clinical board examinations before joining a specialty practice.
How much do endodontists make in Texas?
Endodontists in Texas earn a median of about $286,510 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $141,270 for the lowest 10% to over $407,960 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire endodontists in Texas?
Employers hiring endodontists in Texas right now include Aspen Dental and Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's large dental service organization presence means group-practice openings tend to cycle frequently, particularly in the Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth corridors where patient volume supports multiple endodontists per location.
Which Texas cities have the most endodontist jobs?
Killeen, Cedar Park, and Georgetown account for the most endodontist openings in Texas, driven by the concentration of large dental service organizations, academic health centers, and high-density referral networks in those metros. Smaller markets like The Woodlands or Frisco appear on listings partly because anchor DSO employers with regional hubs use those suburban corridors to serve fast-growing patient populations without competing on downtown overhead.
Are there remote endodontist jobs in Texas?
Yes, but they're extremely rare. Endodontics is a hands-on clinical specialty that requires physical patient treatment, so nearly all positions are on-site. About 0% of endodontist openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, and those exceptions tend to involve tele-consultation roles, clinical education, or case review positions that sit alongside a primary in-office commitment rather than replacing it.
How can I get hired as a endodontist in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is an associate endodontist role with a dental service organization that runs structured onboarding for newly graduated specialists, with Aspen Dental and Pacific Dental Services both operating Texas-based programs that pair new endodontists with mentoring senior clinicians. New graduates who have completed their CODA-accredited residency and hold a Texas dental license are competitive for these associate openings even without independent practice history. Completing American Board of Endodontics Part I before applying demonstrates clinical commitment and gives Texas DSO recruiters a concrete credential to anchor the hire.
Where can I find and apply to endodontist jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to endodontist jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings from dental service organizations, private specialty practices, and academic health systems. Find roles that fit your experience level and preferred location, then apply directly to each employer through the listing.
