Job Summary
We are seeking an associate-licensed therapist holding an LPC-MHSP Temporary, LMFT-A, or LMSW credential to provide compassionate, evidence-based behavioral health care. You will support clients across appropriate age groups and care settings through assessment, treatment planning, counseling, and documentation. Your impact: Thoughtful assessment and coordinated care help clients and families access support that reflects their needs and goals.
Responsibilities
- Conduct intake, mental health assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and patient assessments; develop and update treatment plans.
- Provide psychotherapy and individual or group counseling, using approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, trauma-focused therapy, grief counseling, and behavioral therapy as appropriate.
- Support children, youth, families, and other clients, including people with developmental disabilities, autism, disabilities, or co-occurring disorders; use crisis intervention and behavior management when needed.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and medical records in an electronic medical record (EMR) or electronic health record (EHR), following Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements and clinical ethical guidelines.
- Coordinate direct support, case management, and referrals with care teams; contribute to research or data collection when assigned.
Skills
- Required: Eligible associate-level credential (LPC-MHSP Temporary, LMFT-A, or LMSW), clinical counseling skills, sound judgment, and clear client communication.
- Preferred: Experience with children, pediatrics, child and family counseling, telehealth therapy, and outpatient, inpatient, hospital, or clinic settings.
- Familiarity with ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding, CPT coding, medical terminology, clinical documentation standards, and evidence-based practice is an asset.
- Additional relevant experience may include addiction counseling, PTSD care, chronic pain counseling, geriatrics, gender issues counseling, Christian counseling, special education, psychopharmacology, applied behavior analysis, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, or dance therapy.
