CKS Packaging is currently seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians to join our team in Fort Worth, TX. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and experience maintaining production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Maintenance Technicians at CKS Packaging are responsible for keeping blow molding equipment, production machinery, and facility systems operating safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will be hands-on, mechanically inclined, dependable, and comfortable troubleshooting equipment under time-sensitive conditions.
COMPETITIVE PAY BASED ON EXERIENCE AND SKILLS
Shift Availability:
1st: 7:00am-3:00pm, Monday through Friday (some Saturday's)
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on blow molding and production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Diagnose equipment failures and determine the appropriate repair.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting, including motors, sensors, switches, relays, and control circuits.
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and identify issues with inputs, outputs, and related components.
- Assist with machine setups, changeovers, and equipment adjustments as needed.
- Perform preventive maintenance according to established schedules.
- Repair and replace bearings, belts, chains, pumps, valves, cylinders, motors, and other mechanical components.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
- Respond quickly to production equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and document repairs in the CMMS system.
- Work closely with production personnel to identify recurring equipment issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives designed to improve equipment reliability and production efficiency.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- Manufacturing or plastics experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting ability.
- Basic to advanced electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Ability to use electrical testing equipment such as a multimeter.
- Basic understanding of PLC-controlled machinery.
- Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
