Job Description
ML Property Group is seeking a Certified Maintenance Supervisor to assist the Service Manager in maintaining of our community, located in Asheville, NC. This involves ensuring a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and employees. The position requires the use of good judgement, as many of the assigned tasks are completed with little direct supervision.
Responsibilities
- Turn apartments
- Perform routine preventative maintenance
- Clean grounds, breezeways, and other community facilities as needed/directed
- Complete work and repair orders within prescribed time frames
- Occasional on-call emergency service
- Oversee work performed by outside contractors as needed
- Maintain materials and supply inventory Inspect and maintain tools
What you need:
- Physical requirements include - must be able to move, carry, re-position of lift items weighing up to 50 pounds, manual dexterity to complete paperwork and operate basic hand tools and equipment; talking, hear and ability to communicate with associates, contractors, vendors, and residents; ability to walk and stand for long periods of time; ability to climb, kneel, crawl, balance, stoop, crouch, bend, push, pull.
- Ability to read, write and speak with residents, associated, contractors
- Available to work on-call nights and weekends
- Basic Plumbing knowledge
- Basic Electrical knowledge
- 2+ years experience with maintenance or related work preferred
- HVAC, EPA certificate, Type 1 and II preferred
