Manufacturing Jobs in Long Beach: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a manufacturing job in Long Beach?
Focus your search on employers tied to the Port of Long Beach, aerospace suppliers clustered near the former Boeing Long Beach campus, and food and beverage manufacturers concentrated in North Long Beach and the Signal Hill area. Hands-on experience with CNC machining, welding, or quality control inspection stands out in this market, and familiarity with port-adjacent logistics or aerospace component standards gives candidates a concrete edge over generalist applicants.
Which companies hire manufacturings in Long Beach?
Companies currently hiring manufacturings in Long Beach include Vast, Rubbercraft, and Rocket Lab USA, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Long Beach's employer base skews toward aerospace component suppliers, port-linked industrial firms, and food processing operations, many of which maintain large production floors that hire across multiple shifts and skill levels.
Are there remote manufacturing jobs in Long Beach?
Yes, but only for a narrow slice of roles, since most manufacturing work requires a physical presence on the production floor or in a facility. About 67% of manufacturing openings tied to Long Beach are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, concentrated in roles such as production planning, supply chain coordination, and quality assurance documentation. Hands-on trades, machine operation, and assembly positions remain fully on-site.
How can I get a manufacturing job in Long Beach with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Long Beach is through production associate or general labor roles at food processing plants in North Long Beach or warehouse-adjacent manufacturers near the port, where employers regularly hire with no prior experience and provide on-the-job training. Temp-to-hire staffing arrangements with industrial facilities near the port corridor are common and often convert to full-time. Completing a forklift certification or basic OSHA safety course before applying signals readiness and moves your application to the front of the stack.
