Manufacturing Jobs in Los Angeles: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a manufacturing job in Los Angeles?
Focus your search on Los Angeles's core industrial clusters: the Vernon and Commerce corridors for food and consumer goods production, the South Bay and Torrance area for aerospace and defense manufacturing, and the broader San Gabriel Valley for electronics and fabrication. Employers in these areas consistently hire for production, quality control, and maintenance roles. Hands-on certifications in forklift operation, CNC machining, or OSHA safety give candidates a practical edge in this market.
Which companies hire manufacturings in Los Angeles?
Companies currently hiring manufacturings in Los Angeles include K2 Space, Divergent, and Grifols, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Los Angeles's employer mix ranges from large aerospace primes and food production facilities in Vernon to smaller contract manufacturers and apparel producers operating throughout the metro area.
Are there remote manufacturing jobs in Los Angeles?
Yes, but only for a subset of roles, since most manufacturing work is hands-on and requires a physical presence on the production floor. About 0% of manufacturing openings tied to Los Angeles are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, concentrated in planning, procurement, and quality assurance functions. Roles in production scheduling and supply chain coordination are most likely to offer hybrid arrangements with Los Angeles-based teams.
How can I get a manufacturing job in Los Angeles with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point in Los Angeles is a general production associate or assembly technician role at one of the food manufacturing plants in Vernon or a contract electronics manufacturer in the San Gabriel Valley. Many of these employers hire with no prior experience and provide on-the-job training. Completing a short OSHA-10 course or a community college manufacturing certificate through institutions like Los Angeles Trade Technical College strengthens your application noticeably.
Which industries hire the most manufacturings in Los Angeles?
Most manufacturing openings in Los Angeles sit in Consulting & Professional Services, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Los Angeles's unique combination of aerospace primes in the South Bay, a large food and beverage processing cluster in Vernon, and a historically deep apparel and textile base drives unusually broad sector demand across the metro.
