Most employers expect a bachelor's degree in marketing, business analytics, statistics, or a related field. Candidates strengthen their candidacy by completing platform certifications such as Google Analytics or Salesforce Marketing Cloud and by building a portfolio of campaign analysis projects. South Carolina's larger employers in Columbia and Greenville typically post associate-level analyst roles suited to recent graduates.
How much do marketing data analysts make in South Carolina?
Marketing data analysts in South Carolina earn a median of about $69,440 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $39,950 for the lowest 10% to over $153,090 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire marketing data analysts in South Carolina?
Employers hiring marketing data analysts in South Carolina right now include Boeing, State of South Carolina, and American Credit Acceptance, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. South Carolina's healthcare systems, regional banks, and automotive and tire manufacturers are consistently among the most active sectors for this role statewide.
Which South Carolina cities have the most marketing data analyst jobs?
Charleston, Greenville, and Columbia have the most marketing data analyst openings in South Carolina. Columbia anchors demand through its concentration of insurance companies, healthcare networks, and state government contractors, while Greenville's growth in advanced manufacturing and corporate services drives openings there, and the South Carolina counties bordering Charlotte benefit from the overflow of that major financial and tech market.
Are there remote marketing data analyst jobs in South Carolina?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 30% of marketing data analyst openings tied to South Carolina are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how naturally desk-based and tool-driven this work is. Campaign attribution, reporting, and data modeling tasks are the functions most commonly performed fully remote, making this one of the more flexible roles in the marketing profession.
How can I get hired as a marketing data analyst in South Carolina with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for marketing coordinator or business analyst roles at South Carolina's larger healthcare systems like Prisma Health or MUSC, or at regional retailers and insurers headquartered in Columbia, which regularly onboard analysts with limited experience. Building a portfolio of Google Analytics or Salesforce reports from coursework or internship projects gives candidates a concrete edge, and earning a Google Analytics or HubSpot certification signals readiness to employers who otherwise require prior professional experience.
