Analytics Manager Jobs in South Carolina: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become an analytics manager in South Carolina?
Becoming an analytics manager in South Carolina does not require a state-issued license, but most employers expect a bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, data science, business analytics, or information systems, and a master's degree is increasingly preferred for senior roles. Candidates typically move into the role after several years as a data analyst or senior analyst, building proficiency in tools like SQL, Tableau, and Python before stepping into team leadership.
Which companies hire analytics managers in South Carolina?
Employers hiring analytics managers in South Carolina right now include American Credit Acceptance, Ryder System, and CVS Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. South Carolina's mix of major insurance carriers, automotive and tire manufacturers, and large health systems means demand for analytics managers is distributed across several distinct industries rather than concentrated in a single sector.
Which South Carolina cities have the most analytics manager jobs?
Spartanburg, Columbia, and Fort Mill account for the largest share of analytics manager openings in South Carolina. Columbia leads as the state capital and home to large employers in insurance, state government, and healthcare, while Charleston's growing technology and logistics sector drives demand along the coast, and Greenville benefits from the dense manufacturing and automotive presence in the Upstate region anchored by companies like BMW and Michelin.
Are there remote analytics manager jobs in South Carolina?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 25% of analytics manager openings tied to South Carolina are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the desk-based and data-driven nature of the work. The tasks most commonly performed remotely include reporting, modeling, and cross-functional collaboration, while on-site presence is more often required for roles tied to manufacturing operations or direct stakeholder management.
How can I get hired as an analytics manager in South Carolina with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving up from a data analyst or business analyst role within a South Carolina organization, where internal promotion is common. BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, Prisma Health, and South Carolina state government agencies regularly hire entry-level analysts who can grow into management over time. Building a portfolio of projects that demonstrate leadership of a small analytical initiative, earning a certification such as Google Data Analytics or a relevant SAS credential, and targeting associate analytics manager or team lead postings will make a candidate significantly more competitive.
Where can I find and apply to analytics manager jobs in South Carolina?
You can find and apply to analytics manager jobs in South Carolina on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your experience and preferred location, and apply directly to the positions that fit.
