South Carolina does not impose a state-issued license specifically for research analysts, so hiring decisions center on education, demonstrated analytical skills, and relevant experience. Candidates entering healthcare or government research roles often strengthen their applications with certifications in data analysis or project management recognized by South Carolina employers.
How much do research analysts make in South Carolina?
Research analysts in South Carolina earn a median of about $76,400 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $44,130 for the lowest 10% to over $122,930 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire research analysts in South Carolina?
South Carolina research analyst roles are posted by LPL Financial, State of South Carolina, and Scientific Research Corporation and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Which South Carolina cities have the most research analyst jobs?

Columbia anchors the market as the state capital, home to major government agencies and the University of South Carolina, while Charleston's growing biotech and defense sectors drive demand there, and Greenville reflects the analytical needs of the Upstate's manufacturing and corporate headquarters base.
Are there remote research analyst jobs in South Carolina?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 0% of research analyst openings tied to South Carolina are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the desk-based and data-driven nature of the work. Adjacent roles like data coordinator, research assistant, or program evaluator at state health departments or regional nonprofits are natural stepping stones, and earning a certification in a data analysis tool commonly used in South Carolina hiring, such as SAS or Tableau, gives candidates a measurable edge.
