How much do research analysts make in New York?
Research analysts in New York earn a median of about $107,490 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $55,370 for the lowest 10% to over $230,770 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire research analysts in New York?
Employers hiring research analysts in New York right now include JPMorganChase, Jefferies, and Capital One, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. New York's concentration of financial institutions, consulting firms, and academic medical centers means hiring is particularly active across those sectors year-round.
Which New York cities have the most research analyst jobs?
New York, New York, and Upton account for the most research analyst openings in New York. New York City dominates the distribution because it is home to the country's largest concentration of financial services, healthcare systems, and consulting offices, while Albany draws demand from state government agencies and policy organizations, and Buffalo reflects regional growth in healthcare and university-affiliated research.
