About Ramp
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $200B in annualized spend flows in and out of 70,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced HRIS Analyst to join Ramp's People team during an active Workday implementation. Reporting to our Senior HRIS Manager, you'll play a hands-on role in configuration and system support, partnering closely with our implementation partner and cross-functional teams through go-live and hypercare.
This is an opportunity to help strengthen the data integrity, controls, and employee experience that support Ramp as we scale. You'll bring a solutions-focused, collaborative approach and strong systems thinking to a fast-moving, high-growth environment. The ideal candidate is naturally curious, understands how People data flows across systems, and looks for ways to streamline processes as they build them, staying flexible as priorities evolve along the way.

Partner with key stakeholders across the business to gather requirements, run testing cycles, resolve issues, and ensure cutover readiness
Run data validation and audits across HRIS and downstream systems, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance through regular reporting
Support system releases and enhancements, including testing changes, documenting outcomes, and triaging issues as they arise
Train and enable team members and system users on existing and new processes and functionality
Build and maintain SOPs and job aids that make recurring HRIS processes accurate, scalable, and easy for others to support
Support AI transformation initiatives involving Workday, partnering with People, IT, Finance, and business stakeholders to evaluate and implement AI-driven solutions
What You Need
3–5+ years of hands-on Workday experience, including configuration and production support
Direct experience with one or more Workday modules: HCM, Benefits, Advanced Compensation, Time Tracking, or Absence
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to reconcile data, identify root causes, and troubleshoot discrepancies across systems.
Strong attention to detail and track record of managing employee data with sound judgment, accuracy, and appropriate controls
Ability to translate business requirements into configuration, testing, and documentation
Proactive problem-solver who takes initiative to resolve issues with minimal oversight
Strong communication skills and the ability to partner cross-functionally across People, Finance, IT and business stakeholders
Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Nice-to-Haves
Experience supporting a Workday implementation post-production stabilization
Familiarity with Workday reporting, integrations, or security concepts
Exposure to automation tools or AI-assisted workflows

How do you become a hris analyst in New York?
A bachelor's degree in human resources, information technology, or business is the standard starting point for hris analyst roles in New York. No state-issued license is required, but New York employers strongly favor candidates with hands-on experience in a major HRIS platform and a credential such as SHRM-CP or a Workday or SAP certification. Many candidates move into the role from HR coordinator or payroll specialist positions at New York organizations.
How much do HRIS analysts make in New York?
HRIS analysts in New York earn a median of about $84,380 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $56,040 for the lowest 10% to over $149,990 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire hris analysts in New York?
Employers hiring hris analysts in New York right now include Madison Square Garden Entertainment and Sports, Ramp, and Mercury, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. New York's dense concentration of financial institutions, hospital networks, and Fortune 500 headquarters makes it one of the most consistently active states for HRIS hiring year-round.
Which New York cities have the most hris analyst jobs?
The cities with the most hris analyst openings in New York are New York, Buffalo, and Brooklyn. New York City drives the majority of demand because of its unmatched concentration of corporate headquarters, major financial firms, and large hospital systems, while suburban markets like White Plains and Buffalo reflect regional employer hubs with their own significant HR operations.

Yes, and more than most fields. About 100% of hris analyst openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting that most HRIS work centers on system configuration, reporting, and data management that translates well to off-site settings.
