HRIS Analyst Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a hris analyst in Texas?
Most hris analyst roles in Texas start with a bachelor's degree in human resources, information systems, business administration, or a closely related field. Texas does not require a state-issued license to work as an hris analyst. Employers typically look for hands-on experience with at least one major platform such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or ADP, and a credential like a Workday certification, SHRM-CP, or PHR strengthens a candidacy considerably in the Texas market.
How much do HRIS analysts make in Texas?
HRIS analysts in Texas earn a median of about $68,920 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $43,410 for the lowest 10% to over $117,060 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire hris analysts in Texas?
Employers hiring hris analysts in Texas right now include ABM Industries, ABM Industries, and AMD, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's concentration of energy corporations, large hospital systems, and major retail and financial services headquarters means demand for hris analysts is spread across a wide range of industries rather than dominated by a single sector.
Which Texas cities have the most hris analyst jobs?
Dallas, Houston, and Sugar Land have the most hris analyst openings in Texas. Houston's density of energy and healthcare employers drives the largest share of postings, while Dallas-Fort Worth's corporate headquarters concentration across financial services, retail, and technology generates strong and consistent demand, and Austin's growing base of tech companies and state government agencies adds a steady stream of openings.
Are there remote hris analyst jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 43% of hris analyst openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting the desk-based, system-focused nature of the work. Reporting, system configuration, and data auditing tasks translate especially well to remote arrangements, while in-person presence is more common for roles with heavy stakeholder training or payroll cutover responsibilities.
How can I get hired as a hris analyst in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving from an HR coordinator, payroll clerk, or benefits administrator role into HRIS work, because those positions build direct exposure to the systems hris analysts support. Large Texas hospital networks and corporate HR shared-service centers regularly hire HR coordinators who can transition internally. Earning a Workday Fundamentals or ADP certification before applying signals hands-on platform readiness and meaningfully separates candidates who lack formal HRIS titles on their resume.
Where can I find and apply to hris analyst jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to hris analyst jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the listings, find roles that match your experience and location, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
