Marketing Jobs in Omaha: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a marketing job in Omaha?
Target Omaha's strongest hiring sectors: financial services firms concentrated downtown, health systems anchored in Midtown, and consumer brands and retailers with regional headquarters scattered across the metro. Candidates who stand out typically bring hands-on experience with digital campaigns, content strategy, or marketing analytics. Familiarity with B2B marketing gives an edge in Omaha's professional services and insurance sectors, which are unusually active here compared to most mid-size cities.
Which companies hire marketers in Omaha?
Companies currently hiring marketings in Omaha include FNBO - First National Bank of Omaha, Deloitte, and Carson, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Omaha's marketing employer base skews toward established financial institutions, regional health systems, and consumer-facing companies with deep roots in the area.
Are there remote marketing jobs in Omaha?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the specialty. About 53% of marketing openings tied to Omaha are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with the highest share in digital marketing, content, and marketing analytics roles. Brand management and event-focused positions tend to remain on-site, particularly at Omaha's larger financial services and healthcare employers.
How can I get a marketing job in Omaha with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Omaha is through coordinator or marketing assistant roles at the metro's many regional insurers, healthcare networks, and mid-size consumer brands, which regularly hire candidates without extensive experience. Internships at Omaha-based agencies in the Blackstone and Midtown corridors are another strong starting point. A portfolio showing real campaign work, even from freelance or volunteer projects, carries more weight than credentials with most local hiring managers.
Which industries hire the most marketers in Omaha?
Omaha marketing roles concentrate in Banking & Financial Services, Insurance, and Education, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Omaha's outsized presence in financial services and insurance, combined with several major health system headquarters, makes those sectors the dominant and most consistent source of local marketing demand.
