SUMMARY:
Experienced executive leader responsible for shaping and executing enterprise-wide clinician recruitment strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational growth, market expansion, and long-term workforce planning objectives. Partners closely with senior and clinical leadership to build high-performing recruitment teams, strengthen and diversify talent pipelines, and enhance employer brand positioning. Drives data-informed decision-making and innovative recruitment practices to deliver sustainable hiring outcomes, improve retention, and support the organization’s ability to attract and retain top clinical talent.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
People Leadership:
- Effectively recruits and retains talent for continuous support of aligned business areas.
- Fosters a team-based environment that collaborates across multiple disciplines to focus on continuous improvement and engagement.
- Monitors and recognizes performance of people and supports people in professional development.
- Supports workplace well-being and workplace safety.
- Regularly connects with team members and leaders through purposeful rounding to understand needs, reinforce expectations, recognize contributions, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Strategy Development:
- Establishes and leads the organization’s overall clinician recruitment strategy, aligning talent acquisition with system growth, service line expansion, and long-term workforce planning.
- Partners with executive, clinical, and operational leadership to forecast provider needs, prioritize recruitment efforts, and address current and future staffing gaps.
- Serves as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on market trends, competitive positioning, compensation strategies, and clinician workforce availability.
- Strengthens and expands talent pipelines through partnerships with academic institutions, training programs, professional associations, and external search firms.
- Leads employer branding and recruitment marketing initiatives to position the organization as a top destination for clinical talent.
Sourcing, Recruitment, and Alignment:
- Oversees all aspects of physician and advanced practice clinician (APC) recruitment operations, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and an exceptional candidate experience.
- Builds, develops, and leads a high-performing recruitment and onboarding team, setting clear goals, driving accountability, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Ensures a seamless, high-quality candidate experience from initial engagement through onboarding by coordinating key touchpoints, providing clear communication, and partnering with stakeholders to support a smooth transition and successful integration into the organization.
- Develops and monitors key performance metrics, leveraging data and analytics to inform strategy, improve outcomes, and reduce time-to-fill for critical roles.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, legal requirements, and internal policies related to clinician recruitment, contracting, and employment practices.
- Oversees recruitment-related budgets, optimizing resource allocation and ensuring cost-effective strategies without compromising quality.
- Drives innovation in sourcing, outreach, and engagement strategies to attract both active and passive candidates in highly competitive specialties.
- Champion efforts within clinician recruitment to build a workforce that reflects the communities served.
- Provides executive oversight of onboarding and alignment programs, ensuring new clinicians’ transition successfully and are positioned for long-term retention.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s Degree required.
7 years of experience in recruitment required, with a minimum of 4 years in physician and/or advanced practice clinician (APC) recruitment required.
