Position Summary
Framingham Adult ESL Plus is a part-time, grant-funded program that offers classes at no cost to adult learners in the Metrowest area. The program offers morning and evening classes in English as a Second Language, High School Equivalency, and Citizenship, both In-Person and Online. The program offers classes in the morning and the evening. The Adult ESL Mental Health Clinician provides professional mental health services, including clinical and casework, as well as counseling and treatment for adult students.

- Massachusetts Psychologist License (current or pending).
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

- Graduate degree in psychology or social work.
- Familiarity with principles, procedures, and techniques in clinical and casework services.
- Insight into mental and emotional disturbances and mental health education principles.
- Understanding of theories and causes related to substance abuse.
- Knowledge of various treatment approaches for mental and emotional issues.
- Awareness of available mental health and social service agencies.
- Familiarity with trends in mental hygiene, mental health, public health, and relevant State and Federal programs.

- Strong organizational and time-management skills to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Work collaboratively with other professionals as a team member.
- Participate in evaluative and diagnostic staff conferences.

- Operate a personal computer and other office equipment.
- Communicate effectively with others in person, over the phone, and via remote platforms.
- Analyze data, interpret directions, procedures, and regulations, and develop appropriate responses.
- Perform job duties under stressful conditions and respond appropriately to various situations.
- Maintain confidential information in accordance with legal standards and county regulations.
- Make presentations as needed and may be assigned lead or special work coordination responsibilities.

- The performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the Framingham School Committee Policy Contract.
FAIR LABOR STANDARDS ACT (FLSA) CLASSIFICATION
- This position is classified as Non-Exempt (Hourly)
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Covered under Framingham School Committee Contract.
- Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:45 PM to 9:15 PM
- This is a grant-funded position expected to end on June 30, 2027. However, additional funding may be available to extend the grant and potentially your employment.
