The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Neurology, is seeking a Neurohospitalist to join a premier, mission-driven team dedicated to delivering the highest quality of patient care. We welcome applications from both experienced clinicians and new graduates looking to launch their careers in a supportive academic environment.
In this role, you will diagnose and manage a diverse range of acute neurological disorders within the inpatient setting. Our physicians enjoy a structured "7 days on/7 days off" schedule, designed to promote professional focus and personal balance. For those seeking to expand their practice, options for additional shifts or outpatient clinic time are available for increased compensation. Candidates also have the flexibility to integrate clinical teaching and research into their practice according to their professional interests.
Job Duties:
- Provide care for neurology patients in the inpatient setting.
- Diagnose, treat, and manage complex neurological cases within the hospital.
- Participate in on-call coverage.
- Educate and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows through formal instruction and bedside clinical rounds.
- Engage in scholarly activity and clinical research.
Required Qualifications:
- MD/DO degree
- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Neurology Residency program
- Board-Eligible or Board-Certified in Neurology
- Eligible for medical licensure in both Kansas and Missouri
