NP Jobs in Denver: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a np job in Denver?
Denver's strongest hiring is in primary care, urgent care networks, and behavioral health, with major concentrations at Anschutz Medical Campus, the Cherry Creek corridor, and community health centers serving the Five Points and Westwood neighborhoods. Candidates who hold a Colorado APRN license with prescriptive authority and DEA registration move fastest through screening. Familiarity with Epic and experience treating Medicaid patients gives a clear edge in Denver's safety-net and FQHC sector.
Which companies hire nps in Denver?
Denver np roles are posted by Optum, DaVita, and Medconnect and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Denver's employer mix leans toward large integrated health systems, independent urgent care chains, and federally qualified health centers serving the city's diverse urban neighborhoods.
Are there remote np jobs in Denver?
Yes, though most np roles require in-person patient contact, making fully remote positions rare compared to desk-based fields. About 38% of np openings tied to Denver are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting the portion of work that can shift off-site. Telehealth platforms and chronic disease management programs represent the Denver roles most likely to offer remote or hybrid schedules.
How can I get a np job in Denver with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Denver is through new-graduate residency and fellowship programs, which several of the city's larger health systems and FQHCs run specifically for newly licensed APRNs. Entry-level candidates often land first at urgent care clinics or community health centers in neighborhoods like Globeville or Montbello, where patient volume is high and preceptorship support is common. Completing clinical rotations at a Denver facility and staying connected to University of Colorado Health's graduate network both improve local hiring odds.
Which industries hire the most nps in Denver?
Denver np roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Denver's role as a regional healthcare hub, anchored by Anschutz Medical Campus and a dense network of community health centers, drives sustained demand across those sectors.
