Nurse Manager Jobs in Seattle: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a nurse manager job in Seattle?
Seattle's strongest hiring is in its dense cluster of First Hill and Capitol Hill hospital systems, plus the expanding outpatient and ambulatory care networks in South Lake Union and Bellevue. Candidates with charge nurse or supervisory experience in high-acuity settings have a clear edge locally. Familiarity with the specific service lines those employers run, such as oncology, cardiology, or surgical care, helps you stand out in a competitive applicant pool.
Which companies hire nurse managers in Seattle?
Employers hiring nurse managers in Seattle right now include University Of Washington, Seattle Children's, and Bayview, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Seattle's employer mix leans heavily toward large academic medical centers, integrated regional health systems, and a growing number of specialty and ambulatory care groups.
Are there remote nurse manager jobs in Seattle?
Yes, though remote availability is limited given that nurse manager roles typically require on-site clinical oversight and team leadership. About 29% of nurse manager openings tied to Seattle are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with most of those being hybrid arrangements. The functions most often done off-site in Seattle include scheduling, compliance documentation, and administrative reporting.
How can I get a nurse manager job in Seattle with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Seattle is moving into a charge nurse or assistant nurse manager role at one of the city's large hospital systems, where internal promotion pathways are well established. Ambulatory care clinics and outpatient surgery centers in the Seattle metro also hire into junior supervisory positions that build qualifying management hours. Pairing bedside experience in a high-demand specialty like oncology or ICU with a completed or in-progress BSN positions you well for those internal tracks.
Which industries hire the most nurse managers in Seattle?
Seattle nurse manager roles concentrate in Insurance and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Seattle's status as a regional hub for academic medicine and its fast-growing outpatient and specialty care sector drive consistent demand across those industries.
