Nursing Jobs in Denver: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a nursing job in Denver?
Denver's largest health systems, trauma centers, and specialty hospitals do the heaviest hiring, particularly along the Colfax corridor, the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, and the cluster of facilities in Uptown. Candidates with experience in high-acuity settings, trauma care, or pediatrics stand out in this market. Applying directly to health system career portals and targeting units known for high turnover, such as emergency and ICU, gives you the strongest starting position.
Which companies hire nursings in Denver?
Employers hiring nursings in Denver right now include Denver Health, Regis University, and Grand Canyon University, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Denver's nursing market is anchored by large academic medical centers, faith-based hospital networks, and a growing number of specialty and outpatient surgery facilities serving the metro area.
Are there remote nursing jobs in Denver?
Yes, though remote opportunities are limited by nature for bedside and hands-on clinical roles. About 10% of nursing openings tied to Denver are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting demand across the broader spectrum of the profession. In Denver, the roles most likely to be remote are utilization review, case management, telephone triage, and insurance navigation positions.
How can I get a nursing job in Denver with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Denver is a new-graduate residency program, offered by several of the city's major hospital systems to help RNs transition from school to clinical practice. Denver's community hospitals and long-term care facilities also hire new nurses for med-surg and rehabilitation units, which serve as strong foundations. Completing a clinical rotation at a Denver facility and expressing interest in a position before graduation significantly improves your chances with local employers.
Which industries hire the most nursings in Denver?
Most nursing openings in Denver sit in Education and Healthcare & Medical Services, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Denver's role as a regional medical hub, combined with its rapidly expanding population and proximity to major research institutions at the Anschutz Medical Campus, drives sustained hiring demand across those sectors.
