Occupational Therapist Jobs in Denver: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a occupational therapist job in Denver?
The strongest path into Denver's occupational therapist market runs through its large hospital systems, inpatient rehabilitation centers, and the growing cluster of pediatric and school-based providers along the metro's northeastern corridor. Candidates with hands-on clinical rotation experience in acute care or pediatric settings stand out locally. Targeting positions at long-term care facilities in the Denver Tech Center area and community health clinics in Five Points or Globeville gives entry-level applicants the most realistic footholds.
Which companies hire occupational therapists in Denver?
Denver occupational therapist roles are posted by Connect Pediatrics, Optum, and Denver Health and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Denver's hiring mix tends toward large integrated health systems, specialty rehabilitation practices, and school districts serving the metro's rapidly growing residential neighborhoods.
Are there remote occupational therapist jobs in Denver?
Yes, but with real limits, since occupational therapy is a hands-on clinical discipline and most roles require in-person patient contact. About 12% of occupational therapist openings tied to Denver are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting a small slice of the total market. The roles most likely to offer remote flexibility in Denver are telehealth coordination, care management consulting, and documentation or utilization review positions within larger hospital networks.
How can I get a occupational therapist job in Denver with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Denver is a fieldwork placement or post-graduate residency through one of the metro's major health systems or pediatric clinics, which frequently convert participants to permanent staff. Denver school districts and early intervention programs run by county human services agencies actively hire new graduates for school-based occupational therapist roles. Building experience in home health or assisted living settings in suburbs like Lakewood or Thornton also opens doors quickly, as these employers face consistent staffing demand.
Which industries hire the most occupational therapists in Denver?
Most occupational therapist openings in Denver sit in Healthcare & Medical Services, Consulting & Professional Services, and Technology & Software, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Denver's concentration of trauma-designated hospitals, pediatric specialty centers, and a fast-growing older adult population in surrounding suburbs all sustain consistent hiring demand across those sectors.
