Shift: Monday - Friday (8am - 5pm)
Job Schedule: Full Time

JOB SUMMARY:
The Occupational Therapist assesses, plans, organizes, develops, and implements pediatric occupational therapy for individual clients and outside contract services in accordance with current applicable federal, state and facility standards, guidelines, and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or years’ experience required:
- Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy is required
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist or eligibility and evidence for license application
- Valid North Dakota Driver’s License
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
- 3 years’ experience in pediatric occupational therapy or work with intellectually/developmentally disabled population
- Knowledge of payment sources and systems related to OT
- Experience collaborating with ABA programming
Supervision of others/decision making aptitude: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITES
- Demonstrates ability to provide skilled occupational therapy within a variety of service models including outpatient therapy and educational.
- Demonstrates ability to perform assessments, evaluations, treatment plans, and implement occupational therapy for an assigned caseload.
- Demonstrates ability to collaborate with other professionals in providing services to clients for an assigned caseload.
- Demonstrates ability to develop, implement and evaluate short and long term treatment goals.
- Demonstrates ability to collect and compile data to document clients’ performance or assess program quality to make recommendations for change in treatment plan as needed.
- Demonstrates ability to complete ongoing assessment to determine changes in treatment plan as needed.
- Demonstrates ability to complete documentation as required on clients progress toward meeting established treatment objectives.
- Demonstrates ability to select and/or prepares appropriate assessment tools, equipment and materials according to the clients’ functional limitations to determine therapeutic interventions and therapy.
- Demonstrate(s) ability to select and utilize adaptive equipment for client to assist with progress.
- Demonstrates ability to manage inappropriate or disruptive behavior according to treatment plan consulting for assistance when necessary.
- Report(s) health concerns, medical issues and/or changes in clients’ condition throughout treatment to Operations Manager.
