Job Summary
We’re seeking an Occupational Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist to help people build function, independence, and confidence across care settings. You’ll assess each person’s needs, develop individualized care plans, and deliver evidence-based occupational therapy, including physical rehabilitation and hand therapy. Your impact: Thoughtful treatment and discharge planning help patients and clients move safely toward greater independence in daily activities.
Duties
- Complete occupational therapy assessments and develop, implement, and update treatment plans and therapy programs.
- Provide patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), rehabilitation, and support for hand function.
- Coordinate case management and discharge planning with clients, families, educators, and clinical interprofessional teams.
- Document assessments, care plans, and progress using clinical documentation practices and electronic health records (EHR).
- Adapt services for people with disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and other neurodevelopmental disorders across pediatric, school, acute, intensive care unit (ICU), inpatient, post-acute, skilled nursing, home health, outpatient, clinic, occupational health, and geriatric settings.
Skills
- Required: Occupational therapy expertise; anatomy and physiology knowledge; medical terminology; patient-centered communication; and clear medical documentation.
- Required: Ability to apply evidence-based practice and collaborate with clinical teams.
- Preferred: Experience in pediatric occupational therapy, early intervention, geriatrics, acute or ICU care, inpatient, post-acute, skilled nursing, home health, outpatient, clinic, school, or occupational health.
- Preferred: Experience supporting individuals with autism, disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders, including students with disabilities or special education needs; familiarity with speech therapy collaboration.
