About the Opportunity

We’re growing our network of pediatric Occupational Therapists to work with preschool, kindergarten, and school-age children in their homes. New families reach out to us on an ongoing basis, so we’re building a roster of clinicians we can call on as inquiries come in so families are matched with the right therapist quickly.

This is an independent contractor (1099) role designed for flexibility. You choose which cases to take based on your interests, experience, and availability. There is no minimum caseload, and you’re free to decline any case that isn’t the right fit. You set your own schedule, coordinating directly with each family. Whether you want to add a case or two alongside your existing full-time job or build a fuller private caseload, we’ll work with you.

Compensation

Paid per session, based on your experience, availability, and the type of case:

• 30 minutes: $80 to $120
• 45 minutes: $100 to $140
• 60 minutes: $120 to $160

Where You’ll Work

Most of our families are in Park Slope, Gowanus, Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill, Boerum Hill, Prospect Heights, and surrounding Brooklyn neighborhoods. We also receive occasional inquiries from families in Manhattan. Let us know your preferred neighborhoods and travel radius, and we’ll match you accordingly.

What You’ll Do

• Plan and deliver individualized in-home sessions based on each child’s strengths, interests, needs, and goals
• Support fine motor skills, self-care, and independence in daily activities
• Address sensory regulation, emotional regulation, and executive functioning through play-based, functional approaches
• Adapt activities to real-world home settings, including limited space or equipment
• Build trust with children, parents, nannies, and other caregivers, explaining the purpose of activities in clear, accessible language
• Coach caregivers on practical strategies and exercises they can use between sessions, at home or in the community
• Help families develop routines that support lasting carryover of skills
• Complete accurate, timely documentation of treatment plans, progress, and session notes
• Communicate promptly and professionally about scheduling and any changes in availability

What You Bring

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Active New York State OT license
• Two or more years of pediatric experience
• Sound clinical judgment, dependable follow-through, and openness to feedback, including knowing when to seek consultation
• Strong communication skills and comfort working closely with families
• Availability in the late afternoon, evening, or on weekends (the times most families request)
• Home-based experience is helpful; school or clinic experience is welcome

Pay: $120.00 - $160.00 per hour
