Operations Intern Jobs in Missouri: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a operations intern in Missouri?
Operations intern roles in Missouri require no state-issued license or certification, so the path runs through education and application. Most positions require active enrollment in a business, supply chain, engineering, or related undergraduate program at a Missouri university or college. Candidates strengthen their candidacy by completing relevant coursework in operations or project management and by applying directly to internship programs posted by Missouri-based employers during fall and spring recruiting cycles.
Which companies hire operations interns in Missouri?
Companies currently hiring operations interns in Missouri include Hubbell, Republic Finance, and MHC Kenworth, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Missouri's mix of large corporate headquarters, regional logistics hubs, and healthcare networks means operations intern openings appear across a broad range of industries in the state.
Which Missouri cities have the most operations intern jobs?
St. Louis, Kansas City, and O'Fallon have the most operations intern openings in Missouri. Kansas City and St. Louis drive the bulk of hiring through their large corporate headquarters, distribution centers, and healthcare systems, while Columbia's openings are shaped by the University of Missouri's research and administrative operations and the mid-size employers clustered around the campus area.
Are there remote operations intern jobs in Missouri?
Yes, but they're relatively limited. Operations intern work is often tied to physical facilities, production floors, or on-site team coordination, which keeps most roles in person. About 29% of operations intern openings tied to Missouri are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and the portions most likely to be remote are data analysis tasks, reporting, and process documentation projects rather than hands-on operational work.
How can I get hired as a operations intern in Missouri with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to structured undergraduate internship programs that Missouri employers run specifically for candidates without prior professional experience. Large St. Louis and Kansas City employers in logistics, healthcare, and financial services actively recruit through their campuses and on-campus career fairs. Lateral openings in administrative coordinator or junior analyst roles at Missouri distribution centers and regional offices also serve as a frequent entry point, and candidates who can demonstrate Excel proficiency and familiarity with basic project tracking consistently stand out over those with no tangible skills to show.
Where can I find and apply to operations intern jobs in Missouri?
You can find and apply to operations intern jobs in Missouri on Migrate Mate, which lists current Missouri openings updated regularly. Search the available roles, find the ones that match your background and availability, and apply directly to whichever positions fit.
