We are looking for a dynamic, career-minded individual to join our growing operation as a Central Operations Coordinator.
This position is full-time, on-site in our Valley View, Ohio office.
In this role, you will directly and primarily support our owner operators, terminal network, and customers, working alongside our Operations Team managers and our other operational support teams to cultivate growth through inside sales activities and new business development opportunities.

Responsibilities of the Position:
- Assisting owner operators with operational issues
- Communicating and developing relationships with our terminal network to provide support and resolve issues
- Facilitating agent activity by keeping abreast of their load availability as well as the location and availability of our owner operator base within the Eastern U.S. and Texas
- Reviewing our existing terminals’ and owner operators’ utilization of Kaplan’s value-added services and communicating additional opportunities to improve our collective business; in a similar way when appropriate, contact prospective new agents, owner operators, and customers to discuss their needs and provide details about the Kaplan’s services to best meet them
- Performing administrative duties such as customer account setup, credit checks, load advances, and managing owner operator statements, providing email documentation, etc.
- Analyzing performance metrics and helping to implement strategies to improve operational performance
- Assisting with implementing new programs, software, and systems
Qualifications & Interpersonal Skills:
- College degree required
- At least 1-2 years of related business experience required
- Customer service-oriented
- Strong communication skills with the ability to recognize and appropriately respond to tone in phone and email correspondence
- Ability to interact with a variety of people, including truck drivers, terminals/agents, vendors/customers, co-workers, and internal departments
- Ability to work under pressure
- Analytical aptitude
- Positive attitude and friendly demeanor
Work Schedule & Benefits:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (on-site in Valley View, OH)

Physical Demands of the Position:
Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to stand, walk, and sit; talk and hear, both in person and by telephone; and reach with hands and arms to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds.
