Operations Manager Jobs in Philadelphia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a operations manager job in Philadelphia?
Focus your search on Philadelphia's strongest hiring sectors: health systems, third-party logistics companies, financial services firms, and food and beverage manufacturers. Roles cluster in Center City, University City, and the Navy Yard district. Candidates who stand out locally tend to have experience managing unionized workforces or multi-site operations, since many Philadelphia employers operate across several facilities in the region.
Which companies hire operations managers in Philadelphia?
Philadelphia operations manager roles are posted by Marriott International, Accenture, and City Fitness and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. The Philadelphia market reflects a mix of large anchor institutions like health systems and universities, regional logistics operators, and mid-size manufacturers with production facilities in or just outside the city.
Are there remote operations manager jobs in Philadelphia?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the type of role: analytical and back-office operations positions are more remote-friendly, while facility, warehouse, and plant operations roles almost always require on-site presence. About 16% of operations manager openings tied to Philadelphia are remote or hybrid as of July 2026. The strongest remote options in Philadelphia tend to be in financial services operations and business process management.
How can I get a operations manager job in Philadelphia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Philadelphia is moving into an operations coordinator or team lead role at a health system, logistics company, or large retailer, then building toward a manager title. Temple University Health System, SEPTA, and regional distribution centers regularly hire supervisors and coordinators who advance internally. Familiarity with inventory systems, scheduling software, or lean process basics gives candidates a concrete edge over other entry-level applicants.
Which industries hire the most operations managers in Philadelphia?
Philadelphia operations manager roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Retail, and Education, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026.
