Car Wash Operations Manager
Job Summary
We're looking for a proactive, hands-on Car Wash Manager to lead our new location in Shadyside. This role combines team leadership, customer service, sales, and daily operations. You'll hire and coach employees, promote wash packages and unlimited monthly memberships, manage schedules, maintain a clean site, and help ensure equipment runs properly.
No previous car wash experience is required. We welcome managers from retail, hospitality, restaurants, automotive services, fitness centers, and other customer-facing businesses.
Responsibilities
· Hire, train, schedule, and supervise employees.
· Engage with customers, answer questions, and resolve concerns.
· Promote wash packages and unlimited monthly memberships to grow sales.
· Coach employees on customer service and upselling.
· Maintain cleanliness throughout the property, including the wash tunnel and vacuum areas.
· Monitor equipment, supplies, and chemical inventory; coordinate maintenance as needed.
· Identify safety concerns and take initiative to resolve operational issues.
· Monitor staffing and labor costs while maintaining service standards.
· Lead by example and help with hands-on tasks when needed.
Qualifications
· 2+ years of management experience, including hiring, training, and supervising employees. Experience leading a team of six or more is strongly preferred.
· Strong customer service, communication, and sales skills.
· Ability to approach customers, recommend products, and promote memberships.
· Proactive problem-solving and organizational skills.
· Willingness to work outdoors, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 40 pounds.
· Weekend availability and flexibility for opening and closing shifts.
Relevant experience may include retail, hospitality, restaurant management, automotive services, fitness or membership sales, convenience stores, and facilities operations.
