COMPANY DESCRIPTION
In 1916, skillful master perfumers created a new fresh, refined and modern fragrance in a small perfumer’s laboratory in the old town center of Parma. Named Colonia, this first Italian eau de cologne expressed a new sensibility. What was most striking about it was its formula, produced exclusively with natural ingredients, and its bottle showcasing Art Deco lines. Its popularity reached its pinnacle in the 1950s during the golden age of Italian cinema, when the biggest names in the industry discovered the fragrance while in Rome for film shoots at the famous Cinecittà studios.
Going beyond the Italian border and transcending time and fashion, Colonia became the exclusive perfume of high society, an unmistakable symbol of Italian elegance.
The brand, which opened its first boutique in Milan in 1998, has since developed a wide range of products, including fragrances, colognes, beauty and shaving products, a home collection and leather accessories.
Today, Acqua di Parma is a lifestyle brand in a high profile market, a worldwide byword for sophistication and Italian refinement.
Acqua di Parma invites you today to join its North America teams.
Acqua di Parma is part of the LVMH Group.

How to Get Visa Sponsorship as a Business Manager
Confirm your role qualifies as a specialty occupation
Business Manager positions qualify for H-1B sponsorship when they require a specific bachelor's degree, such as business administration, finance, or management. Roles requiring any degree regardless of field are harder to sponsor. Clarify the degree requirement during interviews.
Target employers with an H-1B sponsorship track record
Large corporations, consulting firms, and multinationals sponsor Business Managers far more reliably than small businesses. Research an employer's past H-1B filings before accepting an offer. Consistent sponsorship history is a stronger signal than verbal assurances during hiring.
Start OPT early enough to cover two H-1B lottery cycles
If you graduate in May, your 12-month OPT window gives you one H-1B lottery attempt. STEM OPT extension adds 24 more months. Business degrees are not STEM-designated, so plan your graduation timing carefully to maximize your lottery opportunities before status expires.
Raise sponsorship during the offer stage, not after
Ask directly whether the company sponsors H-1B visas before signing an offer letter. Waiting until your OPT expires to have that conversation wastes time and goodwill. Most HR teams know their sponsorship policy and can answer clearly if asked at the right moment.
Build a case for your specific value to the employer
Employers weigh H-1B sponsorship costs against your business impact. Document outcomes you've driven, teams you've managed, and revenue or efficiency improvements you've contributed to. A clear business case makes the sponsorship decision easier for HR and hiring managers to justify internally.
Understand your OPT end date and plan the H-1B timeline backwards
H-1B petitions are filed in April for an October 1 start. Map that date against your OPT expiration. If your OPT ends before October 1 and you win the lottery, you may need a cap-gap extension to maintain work authorization continuously through the transition.

Does a Business Manager role qualify for H-1B sponsorship after OPT?
Most Business Manager positions qualify for H-1B sponsorship if the role genuinely requires a specific bachelor's degree in a field like business administration, management, or finance. The key is whether the degree requirement is specific, not general. Roles where any bachelor's degree satisfies the requirement are harder to petition successfully. Confirm the job description reflects a specific field of study before relying on sponsorship.
Can I work as a Business Manager on OPT without a STEM extension?
Yes. Business Manager roles are available on standard 12-month OPT. However, business administration and management degrees are generally not STEM-designated under the DHS STEM list, so most Business Manager graduates won't qualify for the 24-month STEM OPT extension. That limits your total OPT window to 12 months, making it critical to secure H-1B sponsorship quickly or identify employers who can bridge the gap.
How do I find Business Manager jobs where employers are open to OPT sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for F-1 OPT students and filters Business Manager roles by employers with a demonstrated history of sponsoring work visas. Searching general job boards makes it hard to distinguish sponsorship-friendly employers from those who won't hire on OPT. Using a platform designed for your visa situation saves significant time and reduces the risk of wasting interview cycles on roles that won't lead to long-term authorization.
What happens to my work authorization as a Business Manager if I don't win the H-1B lottery?
If you don't win the H-1B lottery and your OPT expires, you lose work authorization and must stop working. Some Business Managers explore alternatives like the O-1A visa for individuals with extraordinary ability, or employer-sponsored L-1 transfers if the company has international offices. Others return to school for a STEM-eligible graduate degree to reset the OPT clock. Planning for a lottery miss before it happens gives you more realistic options.
Do employers expect Business Manager candidates on OPT to disclose their visa status upfront?
Employers cannot legally ask about citizenship or immigration status before making a conditional offer, but many will ask whether you're authorized to work in the U.S. and whether you'll need sponsorship now or in the future. Answering honestly is important. Framing your OPT as current work authorization and sponsorship as a future step, rather than an immediate burden, tends to land better with employers who are open to the conversation.
