Position Summary
As the Marketplace Manager, you’ll own the day-to-day execution of TERREPOWER marketplace presence on Amazon, eBay, and related eCommerce platforms — from catalog integrity and listing quality to account health and marketplace compliance. TERREPOWER is building its eCommerce function from the ground up, and you’ll play a foundational role in creating the processes, workflows, and standards the business scales are on. You’ll partner closely with product, content, inventory, and IT teams to keep listings accurate, available, and performing. It’s a role for someone equally comfortable in the weeds of suppressed listing and in a planning conversation about catalog architecture.
Catalog management & listing operations:
- Own end-to-end SKU setup across eCommerce sites, including parent/child structure, variation creation, and attribute population.
- Maintain catalog accuracy across all active listings — titles, descriptions, images, pricing, and compliance attributes — and manage automotive fitment data to ensure accurate vehicle compatibility.
- Build and maintain inventory feed workflows, monitor and resolve listing suppressions, stranded inventory, and catalog errors.
Account health & marketplace compliance:
- Monitor account health dashboards on Amazon Seller Central and eBay Seller Hub, proactively resolving policy flags and performance issues.
- Maintain awareness of marketplace policy changes and update internal workflows accordingly; manage brand registry and authorized seller compliance; and serve as the point of contact for platform support cases and escalations.
Operational workflow & process development:
- Develop and document standard operating procedures for listing creation, catalog updates, inventory management, and suppression resolution.
- Establish quality control checkpoints ahead of publication, partner with IT and operations to build data feeds between internal systems and marketplace platforms, and track operational KPIs including listing health, suppression rates, inventory accuracy, and order defect rates.
Cross-functional collaboration:
- Work with content and creative teams to ensure assets meet marketplace specifications, and partner with analysts to identify listing-level performance issues and prioritize fixes.
- Align with supply chain and warehouse teams on inventory availability, and support the VP, eCommerce in planning new category and SKU launches.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 4+ years of hands-on eBay, Amazon Seller and related eCommerce platforms experience, with demonstrated proficiency in catalog management, listing operations, and account health.
- Direct experience with automotive fitment data management preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel and data file management; comfort with large flat file uploads and feed-based catalog management.
- Strong written communication skills for internal documentation and marketplace support case management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-moving, early-stage operational environment.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience managing large automotive or parts catalogs, including fitment data (ACES/PIES or equivalent).
- Familiarity with inventory feed management, API integrations, or middleware/channel management platforms.
- Experience in the automotive aftermarket, parts distribution, or manufacturing sector.
- Track record of building or improving operational processes in a high-SKU, fast-moving environment.
- Experience launching new product categories or SKUs on Amazon or eBay, from initial setup through first sale.
About us:
For over 35 years, TERREPOWER (formerly BBB Industries) has been a leader in sustainable manufacturing, driving the circular economy by extending the life of essential products in the automotive and industrial markets.
Founded in 1987 in Daphne, Alabama by the Bigler family, TERREPOWER began as a small regional remanufacturer of starters and alternators. Our commitment to quality and innovation quickly earned us a reputation as a trusted name in the automotive industry.
Recognizing new challenges and opportunities, in 2019 we set our sights on EV battery upcycling—addressing one of the industry’s most pressing issues. Our engineering team pioneered solutions to extend EV battery life, pushing the boundaries of sustainable innovation.
Recognizing that demand for solar panels would exceed availability and 100,000 tons of waste would potentially go into landfills by 2035, our team searched for an innovative way to upcycle solar panels. With an eye on the future, we developed ways to upcycle solar panels.
Rooted in family and community values, we’re proud to have second-generation employees contributing to our legacy. Backed by Clearlake Capital, we’ve expanded our footprint into Europe with facilities in Spain, Italy, Denmark, Germany and Poland. We now sustainably manufacture and supply an assortment of nondiscretionary repair parts across more than 90 countries.
As we move forward under the TERREPOWER name, we remain committed to the same values that have always defined us: entrepreneurship, teamwork, customer-centered, sustainability, safety.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding OPT Sponsorship as a Marketplace Manager
Target e-commerce and platform companies first
Companies like Amazon, Etsy, and DoorDash hire Marketplace Managers at scale and have established visa sponsorship pipelines. Larger platform businesses are far more likely to have immigration counsel on retainer and HR teams experienced with OPT paperwork.
Lead with your STEM OPT eligibility
If your degree is in data analytics, information systems, or supply chain, your role likely qualifies for the 24-month STEM extension. Framing this upfront reduces employer hesitation by showing them you have a 36-month total authorization window, not just 12.
Quantify your marketplace impact on your resume
Employers sponsoring OPT want measurable proof of value. Cite GMV growth, seller acquisition rates, or conversion lift you drove. Concrete metrics signal that sponsoring you is a business decision, not a bureaucratic one, and accelerate hiring conversations.
Clarify your OPT start date and gap availability
Marketplace Manager roles often have urgent hiring timelines. Know your OPT authorization dates and communicate them clearly. Employers need to confirm you can start before or shortly after your program end date without leaving a gap in work authorization.
Research whether the role qualifies as a specialty occupation
For future H-1B visa sponsorship, Marketplace Manager must meet specialty occupation standards, typically requiring a degree in business, marketing, or a related field. Confirm the job description ties your degree to core duties before investing heavily in the application.
Use Migrate Mate to find OPT-friendly Marketplace Manager roles
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for visa sponsorship willingness, saving you hours of manual research. Browsing roles there lets you focus on employers already open to OPT candidates rather than applying broadly and screening for sponsorship after the fact.
Marketplace Manager OPT: Frequently Asked Questions
Can I work as a Marketplace Manager on F-1 OPT?
Yes. Marketplace Manager roles are generally eligible for F-1 OPT work authorization as long as the position is directly related to your field of study. Common qualifying degree fields include business administration, marketing, supply chain management, and information systems. You must have your EAD card in hand before your start date.
Does a Marketplace Manager role qualify for the STEM OPT extension?
It depends on your degree and how the role is structured. If your undergraduate or graduate degree has a STEM designation and the Marketplace Manager position involves substantial data analysis, systems management, or quantitative operations, it can qualify for the 24-month STEM extension. You and your employer must submit the I-983 Training Plan to your DSO for approval before your initial OPT expires.
How do I find Marketplace Manager jobs where employers are open to OPT sponsorship?
Most general job boards don't filter by visa sponsorship willingness, which means significant time is spent screening out employers after applying. Migrate Mate is built specifically for this, surfacing Marketplace Manager roles from employers open to hiring F-1 OPT candidates. Searching there lets you target your applications more precisely and avoid wasted outreach.
What happens to my OPT if I'm laid off from a Marketplace Manager position?
F-1 OPT students have a 90-day cumulative unemployment limit during the standard OPT period, reduced to 60 days during the STEM extension. If you lose your Marketplace Manager job, you should notify your DSO immediately and begin actively searching for a new role in a related field. Days spent unemployed count against your total allowance even if you are job searching.
Will employers sponsor my H-1B after hiring me as a Marketplace Manager on OPT?
Many employers who hire OPT students in operations and marketplace roles do sponsor H-1B petitions, but it is not guaranteed and varies significantly by company size and policy. Marketplace Manager can qualify as a specialty occupation when the role requires a specific bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. It is worth asking directly about sponsorship intent during the offer stage, not after you have started.
