Object Technology Solutions, Inc (OTSI) has an immediate opening for a Systems Administrator
Systems Administrator (Manassas, VA - Onsite)
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES:
- Administer and maintain Windows and Linux server environments, virtualization platforms, and (desired) enterprise Nutanix HCI environments
- Support daily operational activities, incident resolution, and customer requests.
- Monitor system health, performance, security, and availability.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Perform system maintenance, upgrades, patching, and backup verification.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues involving servers, storage, networking, and directory services.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and adherence to IT standards, compliance requirements, and security policies.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and business teams to meet operational and project requirements.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 3 to 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure.
- Experience with:
- Windows Server and/or Red Hat Linux administration
- VMware virtualization technologies
- DNS and Active Directory services
- SAN/NAS storage and backup solutions (desired)
- Enterprise server hardware in a data center environment
- Industry certifications such as MCSE, VCP, or RHCE.
- Experience with PowerShell, Python, Bash, or other scripting languages.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management best practices.
