Entry Level Orthopedic Physician Assistant Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level orthopedic physician assistant job?
Employers hiring at the entry level prioritize clinical rotation experience in orthopedics, musculoskeletal assessment skills, and a willingness to learn under supervising physicians. Candidates who completed orthopedic-focused rotations, earned relevant certifications such as NCCPA board certification, and can demonstrate hands-on procedural exposure, including casting, joint injections, or surgical assist experience, stand out consistently over those with a general background alone.
Which companies hire entry level orthopedic physician assistants?
Companies hiring entry level orthopedic physician assistants right now include Novant Health, Sanford Health, and Geisinger Health Plan, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level covers orthopedic private practices, health systems, ambulatory surgery centers, and sports medicine clinics that are actively building junior clinical teams.
Are there remote entry level orthopedic physician assistant jobs?
Yes, though most orthopedic physician assistant roles require in-person patient care. About 0% of entry level orthopedic physician assistant openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions typically involve telehealth consultations, post-operative follow-up visits, or administrative clinical support rather than hands-on procedural work.
Are these new grad orthopedic physician assistant jobs?
Yes. The listings on this page include new grad, recent graduate, and junior orthopedic physician assistant roles. A posting is generally new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, counts clinical rotations or supervised internship hours toward the requirement, or explicitly accepts candidates who are newly board-certified and ready to begin their first full-time position.
Which industries hire the most entry level orthopedic physician assistants?
Entry Level orthopedic physician assistant roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Education, and Insurance, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Those sectors drive entry level hiring because they rely on growing clinical teams to handle patient volume, post-operative care coordination, and procedural support that experienced physicians and surgeons delegate to junior PAs.
