Entry Level Paralegal Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level paralegal job?
Employers hiring entry level paralegals typically look for a paralegal certificate, an associate or bachelor's degree in legal studies, or a related field, but strong internship experience, law office volunteer work, or a writing sample that shows legal research ability can give a candidate a real edge. Tailor your resume to highlight any courtroom, law clinic, or administrative office experience, even if unpaid.
Which companies hire entry level paralegals?
Companies hiring entry level paralegals right now include Husch Blackwell, Jobot, and Garces, Grabler & LeBrocq, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, hiring comes from a mix of law firms of all sizes, corporate legal departments, government agencies, and nonprofit legal aid organizations.
Are there remote entry level paralegal jobs?
Yes, though on-site roles still dominate at the entry level. About 30% of entry level paralegal openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with hybrid arrangements more common than fully remote positions at this stage. Corporate legal teams and large regional firms tend to offer the most flexible scheduling for junior hires.
Are these new grad paralegal jobs?
Yes. The listings here include new grad, recent graduate, and junior paralegal roles that welcome candidates with zero to two years of experience. A new grad friendly posting typically accepts an internship, a law school clinic assignment, or a strong academic portfolio in place of paid work history, so recent graduates should apply even when a posting lists some experience as preferred.
Which industries hire the most entry level paralegals?
Entry Level paralegal roles concentrate in Law & Legal Services, Consulting & Professional Services, and Staffing & Recruiting, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Those sectors drive hiring at this level because they maintain high-volume caseloads, contract work, or regulatory compliance needs that benefit from dedicated paralegal support even at the junior stage.
