Job Overview:
The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is seeking a Pharmacist to be a part of its Pharmacy unit. As a member of the Medicaid Pharmacy team, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing expert advice and assistance to pharmacists participating in the Ohio Medicaid Program, including development of prior authorization criteria
- Assisting in the management of the Medicaid Pharmacy Program
- Providing oversight of the Medicaid pharmacy benefit administrator and Single Pharmacy Benefit Manager
- Advising the Drug Utilization Review and Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committees
- Providing managed care pharmacy program oversight
- Reviewing state and federal rules and regulations related to pharmacy

Qualifications
Licensed to practice pharmacy as issued by State Board of Pharmacy, pursuant to Section 4729.12 of Revised Code; 2 yrs. exp. as licensed pharmacist.

Travel required, as needed. Must provide own transportation. Or, in order to operate a state vehicle, you must have a valid driver's license from the state of residence. Resumes and/or attachments are not reviewed. Therefore, please provide detail in the work experience section of your application.
In accordance with the 1199/SEIU Contract, Article 49, Appendix D, Section 7, this classification is considered to be a safety sensitive position and is subject to pre-employment drug testing and subsequent random drug testing.
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT REQUIRED TO REMAIN IN THE CLASSIFICATION AFTER EMPLOYMENT: Continuing pharmacy education as required in Section 4729.12 of the Ohio Revised Code & Sections 4729-7-01 through 4729-7-07 of the Ohio Administrative Code.
