What you’ll do
- Carry out treatment following the PT’s plan of care
- Keep the care team updated on patient progress
- Educate and train patients and caregivers
- Teach patients to use durable medical equipment safely to improve function
- Document visits in compliance with Medicare guidelines and the Virginia PT Practice Act
What you’ll need
- Active Virginia PTA license
- Graduate of an accredited PTA program
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance
- Comfort with EMR documentation (we use WellSky/Kinnser and Alora Plus)
- Professional liability insurance, or willingness to purchase it (typically under $150/year)
- Strong organization and time management; you’ll work independently in the field
- 1+ year of home health experience preferred, not required. New grads are welcome to apply.
