Florida Pediatric Care Centers is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our pediatric therapy team. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality therapy services to pediatric patients in a professional and supportive clinical environment.
Our center focuses on improving mobility, strength, coordination, and overall functional independence for children through individualized therapy programs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy treatments to pediatric patients as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Implement treatment plans designed to improve mobility, balance, strength, and coordination.
- Monitor patient progress and report outcomes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions.
- Communicate effectively with therapists, caregivers, and staff.
- Ensure a safe and positive therapy environment for all patients.
Schedule & Caseload:
- Part time position
- Approximately 25 pediatric patients
- Each child requires 3 sessions per week (60 minutes), with some requiring 4 sessions per week.
Compensation:
- $50.00 to 60.00 per therapy session
Qualifications:
- Active Florida PTA License
- Experience working with pediatric patients preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to maintain proper documentation
- CPR certification preferred
- Bilingual
