Physical Therapist Jobs in Brooklyn: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a physical therapist job in Brooklyn?
Focus your search on Brooklyn's outpatient orthopedic and sports rehabilitation clinics, which hire consistently across neighborhoods like Park Slope, Cobble Hill, and Bay Ridge. Hospital systems anchored in Downtown Brooklyn and Williamsburg also recruit throughout the year. Candidates with manual therapy certifications or experience in pediatric or geriatric populations tend to stand out in this market, where specialized caseloads and bilingual Spanish skills are genuine differentiators.
Which companies hire physical therapists in Brooklyn?
Companies currently hiring physical therapists in Brooklyn include SPEAR Physical Therapy, JAG Physical Therapy, and Spear Physical Therapy, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Brooklyn's employer mix runs from large academic medical centers and community health networks to independent outpatient practices serving dense residential neighborhoods.
Are there remote physical therapist jobs in Brooklyn?
Yes, though with significant limits, since hands-on patient care cannot be delivered remotely. About 0% of physical therapist openings tied to Brooklyn are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, covering roles like telehealth follow-up consultations, home exercise program coaching, and clinical documentation or supervision positions that do not require direct patient contact.
How can I get a physical therapist job in Brooklyn with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Brooklyn is securing a clinical rotation or aide position at one of the borough's community health centers or outpatient rehabilitation clinics, which regularly absorb new graduates. Federally qualified health centers in Bed-Stuy, Sunset Park, and East New York often hire entry-level staff and provide mentorship. Physical therapy aide roles at larger Brooklyn hospital systems give candidates supervised patient contact hours that accelerate licensure applications and full-time offers.
Which industries hire the most physical therapists in Brooklyn?
Most physical therapist openings in Brooklyn sit in Healthcare & Medical Services, Consulting & Professional Services, and Non-Profit & Social Services, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Brooklyn's dense residential population, aging demographics in neighborhoods like Bensonhurst and Sheepshead Bay, and concentration of major hospital campuses drive consistent hiring across these sectors.
