Physician Assistant Jobs in Denver: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a physician assistant job in Denver?
Focus your search on Denver's health system hubs: the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, the Cherry Creek medical corridor, and the network of UCHealth and Denver Health clinics distributed across the metro. Urgent care groups and multispecialty practices hire consistently throughout the year. Candidates with emergency medicine, primary care, or surgical assist experience tend to move fastest in Denver's market, and local clinical rotations that built relationships with Denver-area preceptors give new graduates a concrete edge.
Which companies hire physician assistants in Denver?
Companies currently hiring physician assistants in Denver include Optum, CarePoint, and Medconnect, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Denver's hiring landscape is anchored by large regional health systems, federally qualified health centers serving underserved neighborhoods, and a growing number of private urgent care and specialty clinic groups.
Are there remote physician assistant jobs in Denver?
Yes, though remote options are limited by nature since most physician assistant roles require direct patient contact. About 0% of physician assistant openings tied to Denver are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, skewing toward telehealth triage, utilization review, and care management positions. Denver-based insurance carriers and health tech companies are the most consistent sources of fully remote PA-credentialed roles in the metro.
How can I get a physician assistant job in Denver with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Denver is through urgent care networks and federally qualified health centers such as Denver Health community clinics, which hire new graduates more readily than competitive hospital specialty services. Applying for a new graduate or early-career position within a large system like UCHealth or SCL Health lets you rotate through specialties and build a supervised practice record. Completing your clinical hours at a Denver-area site before graduation significantly improves local name recognition with hiring managers.
Which industries hire the most physician assistants in Denver?
Most physician assistant openings in Denver sit in Healthcare & Medical Services, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Denver's status as a regional medical hub, combined with a large insured population and the Anschutz academic medical center anchoring the east metro, keeps demand concentrated in those sectors year-round.
