Physician Assistant Jobs in Miami: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a physician assistant job in Miami?
Focus your search on Miami's largest hiring sectors: hospital systems in the Health District, multi-specialty groups in Coral Gables, and urgent care and primary care networks serving Doral and Hialeah. Bilingual fluency in Spanish is a genuine edge in Miami's patient population. Candidates with experience in cardiology, orthopedics, or emergency medicine tend to move quickly through hiring here, and familiarity with high-volume, diverse patient settings is a recurring preference among local employers.
Which companies hire physician assistants in Miami?
Companies currently hiring physician assistants in Miami include Jackson Health System, Mount Sinai Medical Center, and 77 Consultants, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Miami's hiring landscape skews toward large health systems, federally qualified health centers serving underinsured communities, and growing multi-specialty private practices.
Are there remote physician assistant jobs in Miami?
Yes, though remote work is uncommon for physician assistants given the hands-on, patient-facing nature of most roles. About 17% of physician assistant openings tied to Miami are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with most of those in telehealth triage, utilization review, or insurance-side clinical review rather than direct care.
How can I get a physician assistant job in Miami with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Miami is through federally qualified health centers and community health networks, which frequently hire new graduates given their patient volume and mission-driven staffing needs. Hospital systems with large residency-adjacent PA programs, such as those in the Health District, also onboard new PAs into structured supervision roles. Spanish-language proficiency and any clinical rotation experience in South Florida settings will noticeably strengthen an entry-level application here.
