Physician Jobs in Scottsdale: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a physician job in Scottsdale?
Scottsdale's physician market is driven by its large retiree population and high-income demographics, which fuel demand in cardiology, orthopedics, dermatology, and concierge primary care. Multispecialty groups, urgent care networks, and the hospital systems anchored near the Shea Medical District hire most actively. Board certification in your specialty is the baseline expectation, and candidates with experience in ambulatory or outpatient settings have a clear edge in Scottsdale's practice-heavy market.
Which companies hire physicians in Scottsdale?
Scottsdale physician roles are posted by HonorHealth, Mayo Clinic, and Banner Health and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. The local employer mix runs from large health systems and academic medical affiliates to independent multispecialty practices and concierge medicine groups that reflect Scottsdale's affluent patient base.
Are there remote physician jobs in Scottsdale?
Yes, though remote options are limited by nature for a hands-on clinical role. About 8% of physician openings tied to Scottsdale are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting roles in telehealth, utilization review, and medical consulting rather than direct patient care. Telehealth platforms recruiting physicians in the Scottsdale area tend to offer the most flexible arrangements.
How can I get a physician job in Scottsdale with little or no experience?
New or early-career physicians in Scottsdale most realistically start through residency or fellowship pipeline programs affiliated with Mayo Clinic Arizona and HonorHealth, which recruit actively from their own training programs. Urgent care groups and federally qualified health centers operating in and around Scottsdale are also more open to physicians fresh out of residency. Demonstrating familiarity with high-volume ambulatory workflows and outpatient EMR systems strengthens candidacy for these entry-level attending roles.
Which industries hire the most physicians in Scottsdale?
Scottsdale physician roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services and Education, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Scottsdale's combination of a large, older, and high-income population sustains unusually strong demand across specialty care, elective procedure practices, and wellness-oriented medicine compared to most similarly sized U.S. cities.
