Entry Level Policy Analyst Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level policy analyst job?
Entry level policy analyst roles reward candidates who can demonstrate research and writing skills, even without years of experience. A senior thesis, capstone project, or policy memo from an internship gives hiring managers something concrete to evaluate. Degrees in political science, public policy, economics, or related fields are common, and familiarity with data tools or regulatory research methods can set one candidate apart from another at this stage.
Which companies hire entry level policy analysts?
Companies hiring entry level policy analysts right now include CVS Health, TikTok, and Anthropic, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level covers government agencies, nonprofit advocacy organizations, consulting firms, and regulated industries that maintain in-house policy teams.
Are there remote entry level policy analyst jobs?
Yes, though on-site and hybrid roles remain common at this experience level. About 64% of entry level policy analyst openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates open to multiple work settings will find the widest range of opportunities. Filtering by location preference on Migrate Mate helps narrow results quickly.
Are these new grad policy analyst jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior policy analyst roles alongside other entry level openings. A posting that welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internships or academic work as qualifying background, or does not require prior full-time policy employment is generally new-grad friendly. Titles like junior policy analyst or policy associate often signal the same entry point.
Which industries hire the most entry level policy analysts?
Entry Level policy analyst roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Education, and Government & Public Sector, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Those sectors drive hiring at this level because they face active regulatory environments or public accountability requirements that generate ongoing demand for early-career analysts who can support research, compliance, and advocacy work.
