Entry Level Data Analytics Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level data analytics manager job?
Employers hiring at the entry level look for candidates who can demonstrate hands-on work with data, whether through internships, academic projects, or self-directed portfolio work. Proficiency in tools like SQL, Python, or Tableau is a strong signal, and showing you can translate data into a clear business recommendation matters as much as technical skill. Certifications from Google, Microsoft, or Coursera can fill experience gaps for recent graduates.
Which companies hire entry level data analytics managers?
Companies hiring entry level data analytics managers right now include Walmart, Capital One, and Northrop Grumman, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. A mix of large enterprises, fast-growing startups, and consulting firms tend to recruit at this level, particularly those building out data teams that need junior managers to coordinate analysts and reporting workflows.
Are there remote entry level data analytics manager jobs?
Yes, though on-site and hybrid arrangements are common at this level. About 29% of entry level data analytics manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting broader flexibility in data-focused roles. Candidates open to hybrid schedules will generally see a wider set of options across more industries and company sizes.
Are these new grad data analytics manager jobs?
Yes, this page includes new grad, recent graduate, and junior data analytics manager roles alongside other entry level postings. A listing is typically new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internships or project work in place of full-time history, or explicitly invites candidates with a strong portfolio. Searching for new grad or junior postings is a practical way to focus on roles built for people entering the field.
Which industries hire the most entry level data analytics managers?
Entry Level data analytics manager roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Education, and Healthcare & Medical Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors tend to generate high volumes of structured data and are actively building analytics functions, which creates consistent demand for junior managers who can oversee reporting pipelines and coordinate analyst teams from early in their careers.
