About the Role:
The Principal Pre-Sales Consultant - (Embedded Solutions) is a partner-facing technical expert focused on enabling strategic partners to embed Gen Digital capabilities into their own products and experiences. This role blends pre-sales solutions consultancy, product integration to design and deliver SDK- and API-based solutions that drive adoption and revenue through strategic partnerships.
Operating at the intersection of partnerships, product management and engineering, this Specialist leads technical discovery, requirements definition, integration scoping, and solution design—particularly for Gen Digitals embedded experiences. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will guide partners from concept through evaluation and implementation, ensuring solutions are both technically robust and aligned with partner and Gen Digital roadmaps
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead pre-sales technical discovery with strategic partners to understand business objectives, user journeys, and technical environments; translate findings into clear requirements and integration options.
- Scope and define integration projects for SDK and API implementations, including effort estimates, delivery milestones, risks, constraints, and cross-functional dependencies.
- Design and document integration solutions leveraging Gen Digital SDKs, APIs, and platform services, outlining multiple integration options (e.g., native SDK, REST API, web components, SSO/OIDC flows, federated token exchange) and guiding partners to the best-fit approach.
- Collaborate closely with Product Management to validate feasibility, influence roadmaps, and prioritize features based on partner and market requirements for embedded and mobile solutions.
- Work hands-on with partner engineering teams during POCs, pilots, and technical evaluations, providing practical guidance on SDK installation, API consumption, error handling, observability, and performance considerations.
- Provide architectural input and technical leadership for mobile-centric integrations, including solutions that leverage Kotlin Multiplatform, Xcode/Swift, Android Studio, and modern JavaScript frameworks for hybrid or cross-platform experiences.
- Partner with identity and security stakeholders (internally and externally) to design and validate authentication and authorization flows using Identity Providers (IdP), OIDC/OAuth2, SAML, SSO, and federated token exchange.
- Act as the technical and product voice of the partner within Gen Digital—capturing and organizing requirements, documenting use cases, and providing structured feedback to Product, Engineering, and GTM teams.
- Present and position Gen Digital’s embedded capabilities in a pre-sales context to partner executives, product leaders, architects, and development teams, tailoring messaging and depth to each audience.
- Create and maintain partner-facing technical assets, including solution design documents, sequence diagrams, reference architectures, code samples, and integration playbooks.
- Support RFP/RFI processes with detailed technical responses, architecture proposals, and integration plans, coordinating across Legal, Security, Product, and Engineering as needed.
- Provide post-signature technical oversight during early implementation, ensuring that designs are correctly executed, risks are surfaced early, and expansion opportunities are identified.
- Stay current on partner strategies, market trends, and competitive offerings in identity, security, and embedded consumer services to inform solution design and roadmap discussions.
- Contribute to internal sales engineering enablement, sharing best practices, reusable patterns, and lessons learned across global teams.
- Travel as needed to support onsite partner workshops, events, and strategic integration sessions.
About you:
Education: BS degree or equivalent experience in computer science, software engineering, cybersecurity, identity protection, or a related technical field.
Experience: 5–10 years of experience in solutions engineering, pre-sales, technical consulting, or product management roles; at least 3+ years in a senior, customer/partner-facing technical capacity.
Proven experience designing and delivering embedded solutions leveraging SDKs and APIs, ideally in B2B2C or platform/partner ecosystems.
Skills:
- Strong background in requirements gathering, product scoping, and solution definition—able to write or contribute to PRDs, integration specs, and acceptance criteria.
- Hands-on familiarity with modern integration patterns, including RESTful APIs, webhooks, SDK-based integrations, SPAs, and secure auth flows (SSO, OIDC/OAuth2).
- Experience working with or alongside mobile development teams; familiarity with Kotlin Multiplatform, Xcode/Swift, Android Studio, and modern JavaScript stacks (e.g., React, Vue, or similar) is a strong plus.
- Understanding of Identity Platforms (IdP), OIDC/OAuth2, SAML, SSO, and federated token exchange and how they apply to partner and consumer experiences.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical discovery workshops, synthesize input from multiple stakeholders, and convert it into clear, actionable technical and product requirements.
- Track record of supporting B2C or B2B2C partnerships, ideally with financial institutions, telcos, OEMs, or large consumer service providers.
- Excellent project and stakeholder management skills; capable of managing multiple concurrent integration efforts, timelines, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills; comfortable operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with evolving requirements.
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written; able to clearly explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-starter with a growth mindset and a strong desire to learn new technologies, tools, and industry trends in identity, security, mobile, and embedded integrations. Experience on the technical pre-sales side of Financial Services, identity theft protection services (ITPS), or anti-scam / fraud-prevention platforms is highly beneficial.
- Demonstrated success in customer- or client-facing roles, building trusted relationships and driving successful technical and business outcomes

Mid Level Principal Solutions Engineer Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level principal solutions engineer job?
Position yourself around ownership, not just participation. Highlight customer-facing wins where you led the technical conversation, shaped a solution architecture, or closed a complex deal without heavy supervision. Tailor your resume to show measurable outcomes, such as accounts expanded or implementation timelines shortened. Recruiters at this level want evidence that you can run an engagement independently, so make that case explicitly in your application materials.
Which companies hire mid level principal solutions engineers?
Companies hiring mid level principal solutions engineers right now include TTEC Digital, TELUS Digital, and Veradigm, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Hiring at this level tends to concentrate among enterprise software vendors, cloud platform providers, and technology consulting firms that carry complex, high-value customer deployments requiring dedicated solutions engineering depth.
Are there remote mid level principal solutions engineer jobs?
Yes, remote and hybrid options are widely available at this level. About 57% of mid level principal solutions engineer openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting the fact that customer discovery calls, demos, and architectural reviews translate well to distributed work. On-site or travel requirements typically surface for strategic accounts or on-premises deployments, so check each listing carefully.
How do I move up to a mid level principal solutions engineer role?
Growth into mid level comes from accumulating depth in both the technical and customer-facing dimensions of the role. In your first years, focus on leading discovery calls rather than supporting them, designing solutions for progressively larger accounts, and quantifying the business impact of your work. Taking ownership of a named account or a product specialty, and demonstrating that you can mentor peers, signals readiness for mid level responsibility.
Which industries hire the most mid level principal solutions engineers?
Mid Level principal solutions engineer roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Consulting & Professional Services, and Agriculture & Farming, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026.
