JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Process Engineer
DATE: 06/26
REPORTS TO: Continuous Improvement Manager
STATUS: Exempt

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for successfully completing assigned projects on time, within budget, and meeting or exceeding quality specifications. Works effectively with key partners on the project plans, including contractors, vendors, City planning staff, local, state, and federal regulatory agencies. Plans and attends safety meetings related to projects. Coordinates appropriate utilities work for both relocation of existing utilities and installation of new utilities as needed.
DAILY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in designing and managing of, implementation, and evaluation of multiple maintenance and engineering projects simultaneously to ensure company goals are met.
- Coordinate with plant personnel, vendors, and USDA staff to ensure project meet or exceed requirements.
- Update plant drawings.
- Oversee the work of contractors on multiple projects to ensure they meet the time frames and budgets established in the contract.
- Assist in coordinating equipment delivery and site control, including assisting with local sources of materials, labor, or specialty equipment as required.
- Perform regular audits on safety and quality programs to ensure compliance with Company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate appropriate utilities work, involving relocation of existing utilities and installation of new utilities as needed.
- Record keeping for schedules, procedures, and other analytical data.
- All other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:
1. MUST possess a minimum of one year’s work experience in manufacturing and engineering.
2. MUST possess a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
3. MUST be familiar with manufacturing plant efficiencies, and operational procedures.
4. MUST have knowledge of food safety programs, including HACCP programs, SSOP’s and GMP’s.
5. MUST possess skills in communicating in a courteous and professional manner, both verbally and in writing to all team members.
6. MUST have exceptional time management and prioritizing skills.
7. MUST know how to effectively utilize a personal computer and a variety of software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
8. MUST be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
9. Ability to stand or walk for an entire 8-hour shift.
10. Ability to reflect the values of our company in public settings.
11. Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
1. Poultry industry experience is preferred.
