Entry Level Procurement Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level procurement job?
Entry level procurement employers look for candidates who understand basic supply chain concepts, can work with purchase orders or vendor databases, and communicate clearly across teams. A relevant internship, coursework in supply chain management or business, or hands-on experience coordinating purchases gives you a real edge. Tailoring your resume to show attention to detail and any exposure to procurement software strengthens your application at this stage.
Which companies hire entry level procurements?
Companies hiring entry level procurements right now include Amazon, RXO, and Mace, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a wide range of employers, including manufacturers, healthcare systems, government contractors, and retailers that rely on consistent sourcing and vendor management.
Are there remote entry level procurement jobs?
Yes, though most entry level roles still favor on-site or hybrid arrangements. About 25% of entry level procurement openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so there are real options for candidates who need flexibility. Remote roles at this level often support purchasing coordination, vendor communication, or data entry work that translates well to distributed teams.
Are these new grad procurement jobs?
Yes, many of these listings are new grad and junior roles that explicitly welcome recent graduates and candidates with little or no professional experience. A new grad-friendly procurement posting typically accepts zero to two years of experience, counts internships or co-ops toward requirements, and does not demand deep technical specialization. Look for language like "entry level," "junior buyer," or "procurement coordinator" to identify the right fit.
Which industries hire the most entry level procurements?
Entry level procurement roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Consulting & Professional Services, and Retail, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because they manage high volumes of vendor relationships, materials, or service contracts that require dedicated support staff with foundational purchasing skills.
