Job Summary:
Drives procurement strategy with full ownership of functional KPIs and company objectives leading, coaching, and developing a high performing team responsible for all sourcing and purchasing activities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Establish and oversee projects related to sourcing needs as directed or in support of strategic initiatives, new product development, inventory control, and cost reductions.
· Establish procedures to accomplish sourcing a variety of materials in a cost-effective manner with an emphasis on risk mitigation utilizing tools including but not limited to dual sourcing, kanban, consignment, online auctions, etc.
· Monitor, analyze, and communicate to stakeholders the latest economic, industrial, and other trends that affect markets, prices, and delivery conditions to support present and future material availability.
· Lead and/or direct commodity managers and buyers in support of contract negotiations and vendor selection in collaboration with all stakeholders including engineering and product management.
· Monitor performance and capabilities of vendors to ensure maintenance of delivery, quality, and price commitments producing a monthly scorecard for leadership.
Education/Knowledge: Bachelor’s degree required.
