Who's Hiring

Procurement Jobs in Omaha: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a procurement job in Omaha?
Focus on Omaha's strongest hiring sectors: food and beverage manufacturing, healthcare systems, financial services, and defense contracting in and around the metro. Candidates who understand supply chain operations in regulated industries or have experience with large-volume vendor management stand out locally. Targeting mid-size manufacturers in West Omaha and large health networks in Midtown gives you the best concentration of open roles.
Which companies hire procurements in Omaha?
Omaha procurement roles are posted by Conagra Brands, Live On Nebraska, and HDR and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. The local market includes a strong mix of food production companies, regional insurers and financial institutions, large hospital systems, and logistics firms rooted in Omaha's role as a major freight and distribution hub.
Are there remote procurement jobs in Omaha?
Yes, though availability depends on the type of procurement work. Roles focused on strategic sourcing, contract analysis, and vendor relationship management can often run remotely, while positions tied to warehouse receiving, in-person supplier audits, or on-site inventory management typically require a physical presence. About 70% of procurement openings tied to Omaha are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with analytical and category management roles making up the largest share of those flexible positions.
How can I get a procurement job in Omaha with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Omaha is through purchasing coordinator or procurement assistant roles at the metro's large food manufacturers, healthcare networks, and logistics companies, which regularly bring on candidates without deep experience. A background in operations, customer service, or data entry translates well. Familiarity with basic inventory systems or ERP software and a willingness to start in receiving, vendor setup, or purchase order processing gives candidates a measurable edge with Omaha employers.
