POSITION SUMMARY

Greens Culinary Group (GCG) is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented PM Dishwasher / Kitchen Cleaner to support daily culinary operations and maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment.

This position is responsible for washing and sanitizing dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment, as well as performing evening cleaning and closing duties to ensure the kitchen is properly maintained and prepared for the next business day.

The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong work ethic, attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced culinary and event-driven environment.

Dishwashing and Kitchen Equipment Cleaning

• Wash, rinse, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, pots, pans, glassware, and kitchen equipment.
• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain clean and organized dishwashing and sanitation stations throughout the shift.
• Ensure all cleaned items are properly dried, stored, and available for kitchen operations.
• Monitor dishwashing supplies and notify management when replenishment is necessary.

Kitchen Cleaning and Sanitation

• Clean and sanitize food preparation tables, countertops, sinks, shelving, and designated kitchen surfaces.
• Sweep, scrub, and mop kitchen floors, including high-traffic and hard-to-reach areas.
• Clean designated cooking equipment, exterior equipment surfaces, and kitchen fixtures according to established procedures.
• Remove trash, replace liners, and properly dispose of waste and recyclable materials.
• Clean and sanitize trash receptacles and designated disposal areas.
• Maintain clean drains, floor mats, and designated kitchen cleaning areas.
• Follow established cleaning schedules, sanitation standards, and proper chemical-handling procedures.

Evening Closing Responsibilities

• Complete all assigned end-of-shift kitchen cleaning and sanitation tasks.
• Ensure dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment are washed, sanitized, and returned to their designated storage locations.
• Clean and organize dishwashing stations, sinks, work surfaces, and designated equipment.
• Sweep and mop designated floors before the end of the shift.
• Empty trash and ensure waste disposal areas are left clean.
• Restock cleaning supplies and prepare the kitchen for the next scheduled shift.
• Complete assigned closing checklists and notify management of unfinished tasks, maintenance concerns, or safety hazards.
• Follow proper closing, equipment shutdown, and facility security procedures within the scope of the position.

Kitchen and Event Operations Support

• Assist culinary staff with general kitchen organization and non-cooking support duties as directed.
• Support event preparation and post-event cleanup when scheduled.
• Assist with receiving, organizing, and properly storing kitchen supplies and equipment.
• Maintain designated storage areas in a clean and orderly condition.
• Work collaboratively with chefs, kitchen staff, and event operations personnel to maintain efficiency.
• Perform additional duties reasonably related to the position as assigned.

FOOD SAFETY AND WORKPLACE COMPLIANCE

• Follow all applicable food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety requirements.
• Comply with Southern Nevada Health District standards and company operating procedures.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment when handling cleaning chemicals or performing sanitation tasks.
• Properly label, store, and use cleaning products according to manufacturer instructions and company policy.
• Prevent cross-contamination by following established dishwashing and sanitation practices.
• Immediately report spills, broken equipment, unsafe conditions, and potential food safety concerns.
• Maintain appropriate personal hygiene and comply with company dress code and safety requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous dishwashing, kitchen cleaning, janitorial, or commercial food service experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Knowledge of basic cleaning and sanitation procedures, or willingness to learn.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
• Dependable attendance, punctuality, and willingness to support changing operational needs.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts as business demands require.
• Ability to obtain and maintain any applicable food handler or safety credentials required for assigned duties.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position requires regular physical activity in a commercial kitchen environment, including:

• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and repetitive hand movements.
• Lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally, with assistance or equipment when appropriate.
• Working near water, steam, cleaning solutions, and hot kitchen equipment.
• Performing duties in areas that may be wet, slippery, warm, or noisy.
• Using commercial kitchen cleaning equipment and approved sanitation products.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

The PM Dishwasher / Kitchen Cleaner is expected to:

• Maintain a consistently clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen environment.
• Complete assigned dishwashing and cleaning duties accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure all required evening closing responsibilities are completed before leaving, unless otherwise directed by management.
• Follow established safety, sanitation, and company operating procedures.
• Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and accountability.
• Report operational concerns and communicate effectively with supervisors.
• Accurately record all hours worked and follow company scheduling, attendance, meal, and rest break policies.
• Remain productive during scheduled work hours and obtain management approval before working additional or overtime hours.

WORK SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION

Schedule: Primarily PM/evening shifts, with start and end times established according to operational needs. Hours may vary based on kitchen production, scheduled events, and seasonal business volume.

Overtime Eligibility: This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime compensation in accordance with applicable federal and Nevada law.

Employees are required to accurately record all time worked and comply with established attendance, scheduling, and timekeeping procedures. All hours worked will be compensated as required by law.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
