Together, we’re building the platform that powers the future of advertising at NBCU.
The Advanced Products and Capabilities team within Advertising Products and Solutions is looking for a Product Manager, Workflow Automation, to help us deeply understand how Ad Sales operates today—and to reimagine how it should operate tomorrow. This role sits at the intersection of business process, automation, and AI, with a mandate to modernize and streamline how our internal teams and external partners transact with our company. This role will work across all business groups to organize, shape, and evangelize the automation work (including AI) taking place across the product organization, with a goal to identify duplication, surface synergies, and drive cross-team collaboration.
The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative product manager who is passionate about media, ad technology, and automation, and who brings strong product execution skills, stakeholder communication abilities, technical fluency, and a willingness to take ownership where needed.
Responsibilities
- Become a deep expert in NBCU’s Ad Sales landscape & processes, understanding end-to-end workflows across all lines of business, systems, and teams, identifying pain points, inefficiencies, and manual steps
- Support and execute automation strategies that improve NBCU Ad Sales operations, through system-to-system integrations, workflow automation, and AI-enabled solutions
- Partner closely with Sales, Strategy, Planning, Ad Operations, Insights & Measurement, Product, and Data teams to define requirements and align on thoughtful solutions
- Own and manage a centralized intake process for automation opportunities, tracking requests, dependencies (e.g., system access, cyber approval), and prioritization across teams
- Drive alignment across teams to ensure automated workflows integrate cleanly across the broader ecosystem
- Generate and own cross-functional Automation/AI roadmaps in collaboration with all business groups and identify synergies across teams to increase value return
- Ensure automation improves the business experience by reducing friction in how we transact, communicate, and execute
- Drive visibility into automation initiatives to leadership and the business at large, providing clear updates, progress tracking and visibility into risks, dependencies and impact
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Ad Technology and the application of AI within advertising workflows
- Support change management efforts, including training, documentation, and rollout planning to drive adoption of new automation workflows
- Partner with third-party vendors on workflow development, platform updates, and issue resolution
- Create vendor engagement frameworks to evaluate and onboard new automation and AI solutions
- Track insights and contribute to KPI development to evaluate and optimize existing product capabilities
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in product management within the advertising, streaming, or data-driven media ecosystem, ad tech, or AI space, with exposure to automation-driven solutions
- Experience owning product workflows in cross-functional environments, including defining and delivering system-to-system integrations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and drive alignment across business, product and technical teams
- Impact driven, with a focus on delivering measurable efficiency gains and scaling solutions across teams
- Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholder teams to deliver advertising or media products
- Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into product requirements
- Ability to operate independently, take initiative, and own workstreams in ambiguous or fast-moving areas
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, including intake management, prioritization and roadmap tracking
- Comfort working with technical concepts (e.g. APIs, data pipelines, system integrations, metadata systems, agile development practices)
- Proficiency in Excel and JIRA, with knowledge of AI tools to support workflow analysis, documentation, and productivity
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with NBCU’s portfolio, streaming products, and advertising capabilities
- Knowledge of digital ad serving, streaming ad tech, and data-targeted advertising mechanics, including pitch to pay workflows
- Experience working with workflow automation platforms, low-code/no-code tools, AI-enabled solutions, or operational tooling within media or ad tech systems
- Exposure to system onboarding, access models (e.g. SSO, APIs) and cyber security approval processes

Product Lead Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a product lead in New York?
Product lead roles in New York do not require a state-issued license or certification, but most employers expect a bachelor's degree alongside hands-on product management experience. The typical New York path runs through associate product manager or product analyst roles at tech companies, financial institutions, or media firms based in the city, followed by demonstrated ownership of a product area. Certifications from the Product School or Pragmatic Institute are valued but not mandatory.
Which companies hire product leads in New York?
Employers hiring product leads in New York right now include Morgan Stanley, Bloomberg, and Amazon, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. New York's concentration of fintech companies, large financial institutions, and global media businesses means demand for product leads is especially consistent compared with most other markets.
Which New York cities have the most product lead jobs?
New York, New York City, and Manhattan have the most product lead openings in New York. New York City dominates because of its density of tech-forward financial services firms, advertising technology companies, and venture-backed startups, while other cities on the list tend to reflect regional offices or satellite engineering hubs connected to Manhattan headquarters.
Are there remote product lead jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 36% of product lead openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting the desk-based and collaborative-but-digital nature of the role. Strategy, roadmap planning, and stakeholder work translate well to remote settings, though roles tied to hardware products or on-site agile teams in New York more often require in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a product lead in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through an associate product manager program, with large New York employers like JPMorgan Chase, American Express, and Spotify running structured APM rotations specifically designed for candidates without prior PM experience. Lateral moves from UX research, data analysis, or business operations roles are also common stepping stones. Building a case study portfolio demonstrating a product decision from discovery through launch gives New York hiring managers the clearest signal of readiness.
Where can I find and apply to product lead jobs in New York?
You can find and apply to product lead jobs in New York on Migrate Mate, which lists current New York openings from employers actively hiring. Search the listings, find roles that fit your experience and location, and apply directly to the ones that match.
