Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead cross-functional R&D technology initiatives within a pharmaceutical/biotechnology environment.
The ideal candidate has strong project management experience within Pharma/Biotech R&D, including vendor onboarding, third-party risk processes, technology evaluations, and coordination across IT, Research, Legal, Information Security, Privacy, Procurement, and Regulatory teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables.
- Lead cross-functional R&D technology initiatives from evaluation through implementation.
- Coordinate third-party vendor onboarding, including Legal, Procurement, Security, Privacy, and governance reviews.
- Manage vendor evaluations and Proof-of-Concept (POC) initiatives.
- Maintain RAID logs and proactively escalate risks, blockers, and dependencies.
- Coordinate vendor contracts, SOWs, purchase orders, and deliverables.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings and drive actions and decisions to closure.
- Provide concise project status reporting to leadership.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of IT Project Management experience managing complex cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience working within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or R&D environments.
- Experience managing third-party vendors, technology evaluations, and onboarding processes.
- Strong experience with project planning, RAID management, dependency management, and executive reporting.
- Experience coordinating with Legal, Information Security, Privacy, Procurement, IT, and business stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of GxP, CSV/validation, and regulated technology environments.
- Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Tarrytown, NY 3–4 days per week.
Preferred
- Research IT or R&D technology project experience.
- Experience managing POCs or vendor-selection initiatives.
- Familiarity with AI governance or emerging technology risk processes.
- PMP, Agile, or similar certification.
Contract Requirements
This position is available ONLY for C2C or 1099 consultants. W2 candidates will not be considered.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and eligible to work under a C2C or 1099 engagement.

Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
