INTRODUCTION
The National Corporate Accounts Director is responsible for developing and executing access strategies across key institutional customers and federal accounts, including integrated delivery networks (IDNs), health systems, Veterans Affairs (VA), Department of Defense (DoD), and other government entities. This role focuses on optimizing coverage, utilization, and long-term access for Ipsen’s U.S. portfolio within complex institutional and federal environments.
This position plays a critical role in translating enterprise access strategies into effective account-level execution, ensuring alignment with broader Value & Access priorities. The Director works cross-functionally with Business Unit Leadership, field teams, market access, reimbursement, medical, including HEOR and brand stakeholders to deliver compliant, data-driven access solutions tailored to institutional and federal customer needs.
Additionally, this role leads a team of Corporate Account Directors and is responsible for building and maintaining strategic relationships with key decision-makers, influencing formulary positioning, and supporting Value & Access strategy including contracting and value communication efforts within an evolving healthcare landscape shaped by consolidation, policy changes, and site-of-care shifts.
This is a remote, field-based position.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
Institutional & Federal Account Strategy and Execution
- Develop, lead and execute enterprise-level access strategies for key institutional customers and federal accounts, including IDNs, health systems, VA, DoD, and other government entities, aligned with Ipsen portfolio and brand objectives
- Ensure alignment of Corporate Account Director activities with national/brand strategies and Value & Access priorities
- Guide execution of account plans to ensure consistency, impact, and compliance across assigned accounts
- Monitor team performance against key objectives, providing feedback and course correction as needed
- Drive launch readiness and optimize in-line product performance within institutional and federal channels
Team Leadership & Development
- Provide direct leadership, coaching, and development for high performing Corporate Account Directors supporting institutional and/or federal segments
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning
- Support onboarding, training, and ongoing development to build account management capabilities
Strategic Support & Communication
- Serve as a key liaison between field account teams and senior leadership, elevating insights and identifying emerging opportunities or risks
- Facilitate best practice sharing across team members to enhance effectiveness and customer engagement
- Reinforce compliant communication and execution standards across all account interactions
Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence
- Partner with Value & Access, Reimbursement, Patient Services, Brand, BU Leadership, Field Teams, Medical Affairs, and Government Affairs to deliver coordinated account strategies
- Translate brand and access strategies into tailored solutions for institutional and federal customers
- Collaborate with field teams to ensure aligned, compliant communication of value propositions
- Support the broader organization with insights and education related to institutional and federal account dynamics
Contracting, Pricing & Governance
- Support execution of contracting strategies in partnership with Pricing & Contracting, including discounts, federal pricing considerations, and agreement implementation
- Provide account-level insights and contribute to business cases supporting contracting decisions and Pricing Committee discussions
- Ensure compliant execution of contracts and adherence to all pricing, legal, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor contract performance and identify opportunities to enhance access and value across assigned accounts
Data, Analytics & Performance Management
- Oversee the use of dashboards and analytics to assess access performance, contract outcomes, and account-level trends
- Translate insights into actionable recommendations to optimize access strategy and resource deployment
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Knowledge & Experience (essential):
- At least 10 years of experience/expertise in US Market Access, including health system accounts, mergers and acquisitions and institutional contracting within commercial, 340B and safety net hospitals
- Proven experience developing and negotiating complex contracts within healthcare systems
- Proven experience in driving improved access within P&T’s, pathways, EMR’s and order sets
- Proven launch and life cycle management experience
- Strong understanding of reimbursement (Buy & Bill), Medicare (Parts A, B, C, D), Medicaid, and commercial payer dynamics
- Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally in regulated environments to influence strategic decisions
- Experience leading and developing market access account management teams
Knowledge & Experience (preferred):
- Oncology, Rare Disease, Neuroscience or Specialty portfolio experience
- Experience navigating integrated delivery networks, alternate site of care models, and value-based arrangements
- Experience leveraging advanced analytics to inform access and contracting strategy

COMPENSATION
- The annual base salary range for this position is $191,000 - $275,000

The pay range displayed above is the range of base pay compensation within which Ipsen expects to pay for this role at the time of this posting.
